2K Games has just announced The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned which is the first offering in the series of downloadable content for Borderlands and will be available for download for Xbox 360 and PS3 starting November 24, 2009 for 800 Microsoft Points ($9.99). As TeamXbox explains it, this new DLC places you squares you off against ferocious brain-eating zombies, carnivorous Were-Skags and more as you continue your pursuit for all of that sweet, sweet loot.

You’ll need a copy of the original Borderlands game in order to experience this downloadable content. If you’re one of the very few people who haven’t had the pleasure of falling into Borderlands’ addictive clutches, please let us know and we’ll send you a copy. You’ll definitely want to be able to experience The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned when it comes out on November 24, 2009.
