We knew the latest Wal-Mart deal which provides customers with a $100 gift card with the purchase of an Xbox 360 Arcade model for $199 would catch on and according to VGChartz this amazing deal has caught on like wildfire.

VGChartz writes;

Preliminary VGChartz estimates place total sales across all Walmart stores for the week at around 90,000 units (the majority coming from the 7th November) – over 5 times the sales at Walmart for the previous week. Total sales across the Americas should come in at around 170,000 this week – up 90% on last week and around 70% more than PS3.

Based on these early estimates it would also be interesting to how well this deal performed on Amazon as they also offered the exact same deal on the same day. With the momentum Sony is currently experiencing with the sales growth of the PS3 you can probably expect these type of deals being revisited from the Microsoft camp.

An Xbox 360 for $99, stop thinking about it, it’s a no-brainer.
